Berners Marketing director named as specialist judge for law society excellence awards ceremony

Sue Bramall, Managing Director of Berners Marketing, will be a specialist judge in the Excellence in Marketing and Business Development category.

Sue is one of a host of highly respected leaders in their fields who have been enlisted by the Law Society to select winners and highly commended candidates of the most prestigious awards in the legal calendar. The special honour is in recognition of Sue’s work within the legal profession over the last ten years.

Berners Marketing was set up in 2004 and provides marketing support to over 25 law firms, including a major US law firm. The team at Berners Marketing is rather unique as alongside the marketing specialists it includes a number of solicitors and barristers who author content for client websites, newsletters and e-marketing.

Speaking about her position as judge, Sue says: “I’m delighted to have been asked to be on the Law Society’s panel of judges for their annual Excellence Awards. It is a huge honour and I am really looking forward to evaluating the entries. The last couple of years have been challenging for the legal profession, so it will be interesting to see how the best firms tackled marketing in the recession. The awards are seen as the best in the business and provide great recognition.”

The Law Society is inviting nominations for the Excellence Awards 2011, which are open to entries from across the entire legal sector, not just solicitors. Entrants have just a couple of weeks left to enter as nominations close on the 19 August.
