Once you have made that initial personal connection, if that person does not have an immediate need for legal advice, then you need to make sure that you keep in touch from time to time to remind them of your services and how you can help them.
For business clients, a solicitor’s email newsletter is an ideal tool for promoting your practice and your full range of services.
An email newsletter does not need to be very long (not as long as a typical printed newsletter for law firms), as peoples’ attention spans are short, especially if they are viewing the newsletter on a mobile device.
Email newsletters work less well for private clients, as you must have their express opt-in before you can email them for marketing purposes. Elderly clients in particular still prefer a printed newsletter from their solicitor.
