Over £1,500 raised for breast cancer care and research in the 2013 Moonwalk
13th May 2013
You could hear everyone’s knees creaking in the Berners Marketing office Moonwalk group photo today, as we slowly recovered from our half-Moonwalk in London on Saturday night.
With torrential rain all day, and temperatures as low as five degrees in the early hours, our Wonderbras remained firmly under wraps – and we bore a striking resemblance to a group from the Ramblers Association.
It was a great experience, with over 17,000 walkers gathered at the start in the Moonwalk village beneath Battersea Power Station. The “Write Stuff” team set of at 12.30 am and made it back to base just after 5.00am. We were mightily glad to be heading over Battersea Bridge after 13 miles when hardier souls pressed on to complete the full marathon distance Moonwalk.
Breast cancer care and research is such a worthwhile cause, and we were delighted to raise over £1,500.
A huge "thank you" to everyone who supported us.
