Route 999’ fundraising ride around Staffordshire visits Berners Marketing in aid of blood bikes
18th March 2014
On Wednesday 9 April, Julie Tomasik, head of residential conveyancing at Ansons, will be donning biker gear and helmet to embark on ‘route 999’ riding pillion on a Honda ST1100 Pan European motorbike to raise money for the newly launched Shropshire and Staffordshire Blood Bikes.
Shropshire and Staffordshire Blood Bikes is an emergency volunteer service which aims to provide urgent and emergency transportation of life saving medical supplies to hospitals across our region. Through the dedication of their volunteer staff, they soon hope to be operational every night of the year. When a patient’s life is at risk, a blood bike can respond quickly, saving those vital minutes can make the difference between life and death.
The recently formed Shropshire and Staffordshire Blood Bikes already have over 100 volunteer riders and supporters, with two specially equipped motorcycles. Six bikes are needed to provide cover for the whole of Shropshire and Staffordshire.
To raise awareness and funds in support of the Blood Bikes service, Julie, who has never ridden on a motorbike before, will be transformed from lawyer to biker by the generous donation of biker gear purchased at a generously discounted price by Ansons LLP from Stafford Triumph before she rides the 70 plus miles collecting donations from supporting estate agents and solicitors.
To support Julie in this fundraising activity, please send a donation to Julie Tomasik, Ansons LLP, Commerce House, Ridings Park, Eastern Way, Cannock, Staffordshire WS11 7FJ.
